Top 10 Pins of the week: kids rooms
I could sit here and type out a long and drawn out post about why I haven't been posting..but that wouldn't be as fun as these posts. I have kids rooms and fun ways to organize them on the brain. Seeing that it's nearing the holidays and our kids rooms will be filled with new fun toys, books and such adding to their already full toy boxes and bookshelves..well I figured its the perfect time to get started on purging the old and getting ready for the new. I hope these posts inspire you as much as they have inspired me this week..even if it is just Tuesday.

Coming soon
The leaves are turning and starting to fall. The weather is chilly and pumpkin flavored items can be found everywhere. After trying my very first iced Pumpkin Latte I came up with a diy idea to get me blogging again. Every year the kiddos and I do as many fall crafts as we can. I figured this year while we are coming up with our own ideas or finding some online we could share with my lovely readers.
I will try and post our first diy from tonight tomorrow. The boys went out for Mase's first cub scout "Go See It" and so the girls and I were on our own. They were very excited to help out and share with you all. I am going to try and keep the crafts as free supply wise as possible so anyone on any budget could do them.
I hope you are all enjoying the weather changes in your area. We are loving the cool weather at night and in the morning. Tomorrow and this weekend we are decorating for Halloween/Fall. I'm so excited to put out all the pumpkins and such!
I am hoping this will be the push I need to get back to blogging. I have been on quite the break and am ready to get back.
Here is a sneak peak at some of the fun my kitchen table has been having during my crafting time:

Life is....
Well I have been busy getting the kids started in school. Not that busy but busy enough to keep me from here even more than I would like. I am enjoying the quiet time, that is now in abundance, while the three are at school. Last week I started a DIY project to share and due to my eyes deciding that it's too much it has been put aside. So instead I am sharing this: (If you follow me on Twitter/Instagram you may have seen it)
The other night I heard this song by John Lennon quoted in a movie (I forget the movie though). I have heard the song and I have heard it and seen it quoted many times before but this time it stuck. This time it stayed in my head and became an idea for a project...a very quick easy project. I wanted to remind myself this when things don't go as planned. I wanted to remember this on those days where I'm flustered because something random happened throwing the day into a whirlwind. I have a 1950's road map book for San Diego (I believe) and I tore a page from it and used a black sharpie paint pen. It took all of 10 minutes. It only took that long because I had to first find the supplies, then pick a page. Then I wrote it and didn't like it (go figure) and then had to find a new page. If I had planned it out better it would have only taken 5 min. I am not a planner though so I leave room for error.
I hope you and yours are having an amazing week. If your kids have started school I hope you are enjoying your time and making the most of it.
*I stand corrected. I used my 1980 road map book not my 1950 one :)

All About me random facts.

I have been absent as of late and number ten will briefly tell you why. I felt like I should let you know a bit about me since I have followers now that aren't just family and friends.
10. I suffer from anxiety and depression. I have panic attacks now and then but have learned the warning signs and can control them a little better. This is usually why I don't blog for a few days or weeks.
9. Yellow is my favorite color..if I had to choose one. Right now my favorite colors paired or by themselves are: coral, red, yellow, aqua and grey. I can never really just pick one color
8. When asked what my "favorites" are I think really hard about it. I don't like to just pick one thing...Why should I just pick one animal, car, ice cream, color, number, letter? (Flamingo, Red pandas....vw bus/bugs, Nissan Cube....mint chocolate chip or just plain chocolate chip, but I prefer frozen yogurt..7, 5...J,Q and Z because I love writing them in cursive.)
7. I really like the smell of gasoline
6. I consider myself pro thrifter. I have this ability to find just what I am looking for. Dan says its a super power.
5. I love comic books and graphic novels.
4. I love Firefly and wish they would bring it back
3. I don't ever know what to do in front of the camera so I make faces.
2. My first car was a Super Beetle. It was Yellow and although a pain in the butt I miss smelling like gasoline and Vitoria Secret's Love Spell.
1. I went to Washington D.C in 8th grade and got to put a wreath on the Unknown soldiers grave. It was an amazing honor to get to do that. My camera broke on that trip so I didn't get a picture. I went with my school during Spring Break. It was an amazing adventure.

Lemonade
Well we didn't go camping. Life threw us a lemon. The lemon being a tire on my parent's trailer. Thankfully my dad is a great driver and they had sway bars. Here is a picture of the tire:

My mom said it looked like spaghetti. Thankfully my dad wasn't too far on the trip.
The kids were super upset that we weren't going but we took it as a way to teach them to turn negatives into positives. We set the tent up in the backyard. Gave them a cooler with drinks and they played lawn darts and horse shoes. They watched movies in the tent and came in to sleep. With the rain and lightening we didn't feel it was safe for them to sleep out there. Before it started to rain Saturday Dan had planned on setting up another tent to join them. Unfortunately it rained. So the kids camped out in Mase's room and had fun indoors.
Even the dog joined them:

Top 10 Pins of the Week: Camping
This morning the kids and I have camping on the brain. It is all they can talk about so it is all I have been discussing today. We go this weekend and it can't come soon enough for them. We are tent campers and love it. Though we are going with my parents who have a trailer and it comes in handy when you have a little girl who doesn't want to use the great outdoors as her restroom. As a kid we never went camping. I totally understand too. I was not the girl that would have liked it. Though I was not a super girly girl I was not all about getting and staying filthy and not having a real restroom wouldn't have been acceptable to me. I am glad though that my kids love it and that Dan does also. I am also glad we never took them as babies.
So there is a theme to my pins seeing that it is all this little family can talk about. Enjoy :)
